My Best Friend
Yes, that is what Jazzy is. I love working with her at liberty she really is my friend and listens and its just amazing. She actually listens better than Cookie does sometimes. We have really good ground sessions, which lead to a good saddle session, even though I haven't ridden her in a while, (My mom has!!) she still is really good, I love her!!! :)

The littlest worm, I ever saw
lalalala, yeah its a song. So to get to the point, there was a lime green inch worm crawling on Cookie's face today, it was cute and it was just, inch, inch, inching away. Just a cute little thing I wanted to share. :)

A nice evening session
So this evening I had a real nice liberty session with Jasmine. Two things I learned from it, even if I did already know them. Numero uno, Jasmine is very smart. Numero dos, She is really good with voice commands. Thats my favorite part!!! :D Anyways I love how she's so good with me, sometimes she can be a real jerk, but when we work together on the ground she's my best friend. I'm so glad we sent her to FOM for training she's so amazing now. I love it!!!

Awesome things that work
These little tips really work for me and I get all excited when they work. yay.
So today I had my last show of the season, the night before I gave Cookie a bath before diner time so she's be to preoccupied with food to even thing about rolling. It takes her about an hour and a hak to eat and ater that she just stand under the barn overhang. So I left her and Jasmine outside last night, point that works...she doesn't lay down or roll al all so inthe morning she's dry, dust-free and soft. Now I woul thing that she would lay day cause standing for long periods of time should be annoying and she does laydown during the day. I guess she can, no pun intended, stand to stand up for a long time. she never tires to lke ladown or roll anywhere. she must have super legs. xD so, she is stain-free! yay, blankets have no power over her, I put her in her stall with a blanket on and she still gets badly stained. So the other thing that works awesome for us is baby power. That stuff is like my show buddy, it works so well, and smells nice too! Having a white horse you find alot of neat ways to keep the white, white. :)

Are ya like part arab???
Oh funny moments of the of so wonderful Cookie. I was doing some groundwork with her today and it was just randomly out there, I don't know what it was but she spooked and was canter/prancing around me like she was doing a Piaffe. She has her tail in the are she nostriles flaring and her head is up and she really looked like an Arabian. I swear she really does have Arabain in her. xD

Spookasensation
I couldn't really think of a good title for my newest rant so I just though of this clever, three second thought. I rode Jasmine today and as usual she was really good on the lunge line, very, very good with voice commands. Once I got on her she was good until, actually I don't know what it was but she spooked. I didn't fall off or lose my balance, yay. So we handled it very nicely. Then she did it again but it was from a noise in the woods, and we handled it well again. It was A+ for us today. So actually it was those two moments that helped me create the wonderful title. All in all she was really good. It was kind of funny when we'd do bending and after she gave her head and I released the pressure, she just kept her head there, somehow it was really funny. xD So that was my day. AHAM show next weekend. :D

First in a while
Today I rode Jasmine for the first time in over a month! Wow! Yep she was ok, I mean I haven't ridden my green, fat Friesian in over a month so she won't be perfect. Oh Well. This little post will not be long since I don't have much else to say on the subject. So...Bye!
Its a Show Day Review.
So yesterday I did a show with Cookie, her second of the season. HA! yes the season is almost over and I'm starting with Cookie now, I've done three shows, wow. I plan to do two more. So 5 shows this year. Anywhoo It was our first rated show. C-rated. But it sure didn't feel like it. Ok, well it was organized and had a good judge I guess, but there was no one there, I was the first person there at like 7:45 when the show starts at 8:30 But they started later because of the rain the night before. There was one other trailer in, and the rest was young girls that ride at the barn. My classes were the first ones of the day, 1,2,3 and 4. A W/T division with hunter and Eq. flat and cross rail classes. There were three in my division. I got a 2nd in hunter cross rails, was eliminated for three refusals in Eq. cross rails. Got a 2nd in hunter under saddle and a 3rd in Equitation. So eh, it was alright, I don't think we were on top of our game, couldn't practice the day before because of the rain. grr. And Cookie was a speed demon. >.< So that was my show day, tada!

Sneaky Ninja Punk
That is what Jasmine is. :P Well as every day goes with the final paddock cleaning of the day, the girls stand near the gate but are not stupid enought to even dare to walk out. So I'm there with my wheelbarrow and fork walking into the paddock, gate swung inwards. As everyday they stand there and look at the half open gate, and me who is the all-powerful gate keeper. None shall pass. But of course this starts out as "This day was different" so, Jasmine's fatass sneaks pass me and stands inbetween the outside world and in the paddock, I drop my stuff and go over 1 foot to the gate and she walks out about 2 feet, there is grass, she's not moving far. I'm thinking about how to get her in, she has no halter on and trying to make sure the infamous escape artist, Cookie doens't do the same thing. So I grab the nearby lead rope get on the other side of her and chase her in, it worked. Now its usually Cookie who comes up with these plots and tries to perform them. Boy was I surprised when Jasmine grew some and walked out. So it made me ponder, She's either been plotting this for a while and waiting for the perfect moment, or Cookie told her to do it. xD both are probable theories. xD ahh silly poniez.
Braiding Adventures
So while waiting to drive Jelke the Friesian gelding when I was at Friesians of Majesty i started to play with his long, stright, nice mane. I discovered a hidden talent. I can actually braid yay. So I brought this skill home to Jasmine. Now her mane really sucks, its not nice and black, straight/wavy, or even. So i started to braid it and I was surprised it came out really good, for my first real time braiding. :D It also looks alot nicer than leaving it down, filled with shavings, a red tint and unevenness. So maybe braising it can maintain it and help it look nicer? maybe, I don't know, if you know how to grow a mane, please help me out. ^^

My horse is out to get me.
Another ride on Miss Cookie and another extream workout by me. Now I like to think of Cookie as 50% Arabian 50% Thoroughbred and 50% Quarter Horse, yes she is 150% horse. She has the stamina of a Arabian the speed of a TB and ther versatility of a QH. (QH seem to do just about any and every equestrian sport) So my biggest issue is cantering my litte demonic horse. She is just a total bitch when asking her, she does mini rears and bucks and is like screw off lady. When were in the canter she is usually good I can adjust she speed and now we are working on getting her on the rail and we're doing well. She's a mare and has her mare moments. But I think I'll work on transitions and getting her really good at the trot and walk and then move on to canter when we both are ready. I'm not in a rush to get cantering, and I don't like hers that much, we'll canter but its not really good, like jumping we'll canter and such. Nah, not asking for advice so please don't give it I got a trainer I know who i'm going to ask my questions about Cook. But somedays she really is out to kill me but I still love her! (:

Curiosity will scare the horse.
So today my dad needed to get into the paddock with his back-hoe and refill an area with gravel. When it rains alot and hard all the dirt near the water and side of the barn floods and runs down the slight hill and make a mess. The horses are fine walking on it to get to the water. So I open the gateand there are Cook and Jaz standing there, wellnot for long once Jasmine sees the tracter she is out of there not like flips out and runs away more like turn around and trot off. Cookie just stands there looking at it while it passes by. We've done this before and Cookie always walks up to it running or not and investigates. Her favorite thing to do is walk up to it and once it moves wait until its right next to her an run off like a scared little girl. I don't think she'd ever notice if it ran her over. And when my dad is digging she'll stay a distance away and eventually creeps up to it and gets like within a foot of it, and once it moves turn around and trot off. She is a silly, curious girl. So glad it doesn't bother her. Jasmine in ok but she takes the saying "Scared shitless" literally, for really anything that startles her to a point, she tenses up and...ploop. I guess she was scared shitless. xD

Water can be fun!
Aha another heat wave and two unpleased horses. So...lets hose you girls off. Now Cookie goes through water but hates puddles and spraying water so she didn't get invloved with my water games. Jasmine on the other hand hates puddles also, is pretty good with walking through water (water as in goes above thier ankles) she likes to be sprayed down too. So Jasmine would just stand thier while I spray wanter on her, she would even turn around and have me spray her butt her fav place. Haha silly girl, I tried to get Cookie, but she just walks away. She's no fun. xD
